◆ Synopsis of 'The Part-time Life of a Hero and a Corporate Slave' Death 3.5
Kuzuru, a lousy hero, wanders into modern-day Japan by chance and is picked up by a beautiful woman who works at a game company. Through this connection, Kuzuru ends up working as an employee at the game company, but the company he joins is a super-black company, and even though he risks his life to exterminate monsters, his life becomes surprisingly tough.

The beautiful boss who lured Kuzuru into working at the black company is a greater enemy to Kuzuru than the demon lord. When he glances at her resentfully while working overtime, she dismisses him with a single glance.

Even though Kuzuru is in a bad shape after losing a battle with a monster, he is mercilessly given work to do.

Although people wondered if he was always working, he would often be seen at the office during overtime, but one day he left work early after regular hours. Kuzuru couldn't hide his surprise as he had never seen an employee leave work on time before.

The life of an office worker is too tough, but just as his party members helped Kuzuru, who was a lousy hero, there are also friends at the office who suffer alongside him. The two who are especially friendly are Pink-senpai, who always has vacant eyes behind his pink glasses, and Char-senpai, who is a bit of a playboy but has no time to go out and have fun. The three are furious at their boss, who is the only one who goes home on time.

And so the slacker boss begins his pursuit operation. Will Kuzuru and his seniors be able to get revenge on their hated boss? We will also show you what Kuzuru's hero party members do after work.

By the way, in episodes 2 and 3, the main setting was the hero's work, but episode 4, scheduled to be updated around the end of June 2024, is set in a game company. Kuzuru's colleagues and beautiful boss will also be participating as main characters, so please look forward to it.

◆GSC members only bonus: Episode 3.5 cover illustration & name making
There were two plans for the cover illustration for chapter 3.5. Plan A was to depict Kuzuru and his friends chasing their boss who had gone home on time, so they were dressed up as detectives. Plan B showed the boss leaving Kuzuru and his friends behind and quickly departing. Plan A was chosen as it had a more creative composition, but we made some adjustments to make the characters stand out more.

Front cover illustration created based on Plan A. I wanted to make the illustration of the boss in the upper left corner larger, and he seemed more like a handsome prince than a beautiful boss, so I made some slight adjustments to his clothes and eyes.

The adjusted line drawing is below. The eyelashes have been made thicker, and the collar has been folded down to give it a softer look.

The completed frontispiece illustration.

Also, in episode 3.5, the direction of the punch line was revised repeatedly. Below is the first draft of the storyboard, the scene where he is scolded for being pursued and is forced to drink an extremely strong energy drink and work nonstop.

In order to enhance the punchline, the frame was changed to one inspired by an energy drink commercial.

While keeping the same image, I made some major changes to the frame to enhance the impact of the punchline. You can also clearly see Kuzuru ascending to heaven in the background.
