◆ Synopsis of Episode 7 of 'The Part-Time Life of a Hero and a Corporate Slave'
Kuzuru was chosen to be a hero in a world overrun with monsters, but he was so weak and timid that he was called the 'scum hero.' However, after somehow traveling to a Japanese game company and working in a black company, he has grown into a strong and powerful hero with the strength and perseverance to become a hero.
The Demon King's army, worried about the hero's growth, sends assassins one after another to Kuzuul. The Dullahan, an arch enemy who once completely defeated Kuzuul and his companions. A succubus who has come to corrupt the company where Kuzuul has grown. A doctor who tries to break Kuzuul's spirit by giving him a false prognosis of how much time he has left to live. A modified monster that emits sounds that Kuzuul dislikes.
However, Kuzuru is not intimidated by any of the powerful foes. With his new powers and the help of his allies, he defeats the Dullahan, tames the Succubus in a love contest, uncovers the evil doctor's schemes, and masters the contract with summoned beasts to defeat his weakest enemies.
The Demon King was frustrated by the Hero who kept defeating all of his schemes, but Compra, a senior member of the Demon King's army, proposed a plan to neutralize the Hero.
Then one day, Compra appeared before Kuzuru. Kuzuru was wary of Compra, but he had no intention of fighting and said, 'I've come to invite you to join the Demon King's army.'
And soon after, Kuzuru, who works at a company, receives an email inviting him to a job offer from Avalon, a game company much larger than Valhalla, where Kuzuru works. For Kuzuru, who has suffered in a black company, the working conditions are incredibly kind.

◆GSC members only bonus: Episode 7 making of
Four new characters will appear in episode 7. All were designed by cygnusil, the illustrator. Below is a proposal from 'Kuze-san' from another company who appeared in negotiations to lure Kuzuru away. Although the character makes few appearances, Kuze-san wanted Kuzuru to fall head over heels in love with him, so 'I thought that if he looked kind, unlike Walküre (Kuzuru's boss), Kuzuru might follow him.'
Later, because the contrasting Valkyries have long hair, it was decided to design her with short hair. According to the person in charge of illustrations, 'I wanted to give the image of someone who would keep her hair short so that it would look neat and effortless,' and the image of a 'competent, beautiful boss' was solidified with the outfit.
Below is a design proposal for Compra, the top executive of the Demon King's army. The outfit is a suit, and the image of a capable secretary with glasses was solidified, but various colors and silhouettes were considered.
Production process 2. 'A simple suit seemed too modern, so I added military-style decorations to match the style of the Kuzuru.'
In the third production step, the costume and silhouette are roughly decided, and then the look in color is compared and considered.
After narrowing down the hairstyle, hair color, and costume, three options were proposed: plan 1 was simple, plan 2 was enemy-like with a sinister color, and plan 3 had messy hairstyle to match the image of a demon. Plan 2 was selected based on the image given by the silhouette and the impression of the color.
Compra's subordinates, Kopo and Leto, are designed as 'huge, demon-like monsters' in line with Compra's image of horns.
In addition to the demon's appearance, he was considering 'dark clothing' and a 'strong-looking appearance,' and eventually solidified with a 'punk fashion style.'
The final design was developed by combining punk fashion-inspired images.
Below is an image of the 'Demon Castle' that appears on the first page of episode 7. It's only a sneak peek in episode 7, but it will be an important setting in future episodes, so stay tuned.
Three cover art ideas were created for episode 7. The image below shows Compra preparing materials to recruit Kuzuru.
The second idea is a list of compliance with Kuze-san, the two enemies who lure Kuzuru.
The third proposal is based on the same theme of Compliance vs. Kuzuru as the second proposal, but also features Kuzuru's friends, superiors, and Kuze-san as mini-characters.
