◆ Synopsis of 'The Part-time Life of a Hero and a Corporate Slave' Death 4.5
Kuzuru, a lousy hero, ends up in modern Japan by chance, and ends up working part-time as a 'weekday corporate slave, holiday hero' going back and forth between the game company and the world of monsters. Although it's a very hard life, it's a good medicine for the good-for-nothing Kuzuru, and he also has the benefit of living a double life: 'The knowledge he gained at the game company and the mental strength he gained from enduring the harsh labor awaken his abilities as a hero.'

As a result, Kuzuru was able to defeat even powerful monsters. The Demon King, wary of the hero's rapid growth, sends an assassin, Lilimir, to Japan, the 'other world' where the hero trained.

Lilimil infiltrates the gaming company where Kuzuru works as an office worker, and with her natural dexterity and cuteness that charms everyone around her, she quickly becomes popular at work. This upsets Kuzuru's strict boss, Valkyrie. To compete for the company's heroine, a three-round battle is held: a gaming battle, a cosplay battle, and a cooking battle. Read '

Deathma 4 ' to find out how it all turns out.

In the end, Lilimir grew attached to Valkyrie. This was a relief for Kuzuru as she was able to thwart the Demon King's schemes, but Valkyrie was not happy that Lilimir was clinging to her so much.

Death 4.5 is the episode that follows. Lilimil stays at the company instead of returning to the other world. Valkyrie, who is having trouble with Lilimil who still clings to her, orders Kuzuru to do something about it.

What is Kuzuru's plan to educate Lilimir? And can the hero form a bond with Lilimir, an enemy monster? You can read the advance release of Death 4.5 below!

◆GSC Members Only Bonus Episode 4.5 Name Making
What I want you to pay attention to in the storyboard for episode 4.5 is the part that is 'not necessary for the story, but makes it more fun if it's there.' For example, in the initial storyboard below, Kuzuru asks for the privilege of leaving work on time, but since this scene is just a series of shots of Kuzuru and Walküre talking, there was an opinion that 'we need a picture to replace it.'

So in the revised name, we added an 'image of Kuzuru leaving work on time.' This image is unnecessary if you say 'I want to leave work on time,' but it helps to get the point across and makes the screen more fun.

Similarly, in the scene below, in the initial rough on the left, there was a cut of debugging being done in the background while talking about 'debugging.' In the revised name on the right, an image of the debugging process is added, depicting 'Kuzuul's companions as game characters, confused by a bug,' which makes for a visually interesting frame.

The finished versions of each look like this. I wanted to make it a fun frame, but the inside story is that 'in an episode where the company is the main focus, the characters from the other world can't appear, so I wanted to include them as image pictures.'

There was one more interesting change in chapter 4.5. The following page is a panel layout that allows you to enjoy the changes over time by arranging four panels with the same composition. In the script stage, it was a four-panel panel in which Kuzuru and Lilimir try to debug together, as shown on the left in the image, but the illustrator had an idea to increase the number of pictures to replace the four panels, so a movement was added in which Kuzuru, who starts out as a bystander, gradually becomes more absorbed and comes to the foreground.
