A report on the opening ceremony of 'Machi★Asobi vol.28,' a new 'Machi★Asobi created by everyone'



Machi★Asobi vol.28 , which will be held in Tokushima on Saturday, May 10th and Sunday, May 11th, 2025, was officially launched with an opening ceremony held at Aibahama Park in Tokushima City. Tokushima Anime Ambassador Eriko Nakamura and Vice Governor Koji Murakami of Tokushima Prefecture attended the opening ceremony.

The opening ceremony was hosted by Aniplex producer Yuuma Takahashi and voice actress and Tokushima Anime Ambassador Eriko Nakamura.



Guests at the opening ceremony included Yanase Kazuki, promotion producer for the anime series '

Dropkick on My Devil ,' Tokushima Prefecture Vice Governor Murakami Koji, CoMix Wave Film Chairman Kawaguchi Noriyoshi , CyberAgent producer Kabashima Manami, which is in charge of the anime series 'Apocalypse Hotel,' CyberConnect2 CEO Matsuyama Hiroshi , comedian and VTuber Hirai Yoshiyuki of the comedy duo America Zarigani, and voice actress Ehara Yuri .



Matsuyama brought with him a hanger with his face on it, which he said was 'created by the publicity team without his permission.'



In addition to the hangers, there will also be hand towels, towels, and bromides, all of which will be on sale at the CyberConnect2 booth.



Takahashi also explained the changes to the structure of this year's Machi★Asobi. According to Takahashi, up until now Machi★Asobi had been run as a 'Tokushima Prefecture project,' but from this year onwards it has been organized as a new 'Machi★Asobi created by everyone,' with the NPO Machi★Asobi taking the lead and Tokushima Prefecture providing subsidies. As a result, the event has started out in the red, and Takahashi explained that paid seating has been introduced for the first time as a measure to increase revenue.

Paid seating was available at Shinmachibashi Higashi Park, one of the venues. Cushions were set up in the first two rows near the stage.



The paid seats at Ryogokubashi Nishi Park were in conspicuous 'box seats,' which was pointed out by Tamiyasu Tomoe, who was in charge of the rehearsal.



Finally, Nakamura announced the start.
