Machi★Asobi vol.28 , a multi-purpose entertainment event based on the concept of 'Enjoying Tokushima to the Fullest,' has begun. The event will take place on Saturday, May 10th and Sunday, May 11th, 2025, and will feature talks by anime and game cast and staff, live performances by artists, numerous exhibits and merchandise, and the first-ever Machi★Asobi Sauna, where visitors can enjoy a tent sauna set up along the river. A limited-capacity talk event is also planned.

The day before the event, a pre-event party was held with the participation of Tokushima Anime Ambassador Eriko Nakamura and others, where the second edition of the food truck 'ufotable cafe TO GO' and the new project 'Machi★Asobi Sauna' were unveiled.

◆Machi★Asobi Sauna
Machi★Asobi, which often hosts unique events you won't find anywhere else, has recently added the new 'Machi★Asobi Sauna.' Sessions are 90 minutes long and same-day tickets are available. Plans are also underway for talk events in the sauna, as well as viewing events for the anime series 'Dropkick in the Dark.'

◆Anime x Game Jam Mini in Tokushima Machi Asobi
The non-profit organization Anime Industry Innovation Council (ANiC) held an anime production hackathon called 'Anime x Game Jam Mini,' so I decided to participate and try my hand at (part of) 3DCG anime production.

I went to the TV Anime Oshi no Ko Museum in Tokushima, located in the Poppo-gai Shopping Arcade, and took photos of life-size figures of Ai, Ruby, and Aqua.

◆An anime and game exhibition utilizing vacant stores in Poppo-gai Shopping Arcade
At the Poppo-gai Shopping Arcade on the west side of Tokushima Station, exhibitions are being held in vacant storefronts. You can see anime setting materials and play unreleased games, so I decided to check out all the exhibits in the arcade.

Yuri Ehara 10th Anniversary Exhibition
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the debut of voice actress Yuri Ehara, known for her role as Chiwa in the anime series 'Ohenro,' a commemorative exhibition was held by a private support group.

The first act on the Ryogokubashi Nishi Park stage was singer-songwriter Amagi Sera.



Miho Okazaki, who plays Rimuru, and Yoshitsugu Matsuoka, who plays Masayuki, appeared on stage at the stage event for the anime ' That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime .'


Signed autographs of the two are on display at Animate Tokushima.



At the stage event for the anime ' Apocalypse Hotel ,' which began airing in April 2025, Shirasuna Saho, who plays Yachiyo, and Morohoshi Sumire, who plays Ponko, appeared.

Ayaka Fukuhara, who plays Onijima Ren, and Makoto Koichi, who plays Asami Seio, appeared at the talk show for the media mix project 'BURNS SKOOL,' which 'vividly depicts life-sized 12-year-olds through music and voice dramas with the theme of 'Boys x Dance x Pride.' '
