The second food truck designed with Tanjiro Kamado and Kyojuro Rengoku was unveiled at the eve of the 'Machi Asobi vol.28' event, and the sauna also featured the 'First Loyly' experience



Machi Asobi, a multi-purpose entertainment event that began in 2009 as an event to 'have fun in Tokushima', was postponed in spring 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, scaled down until spring 2022, and postponed in spring 2024 due to a lack of communication with Tokushima Prefecture. However, it will be making

a full comeback on Saturday, May 10th and Sunday, May 11th, 2025. As preparations for the event are underway, a pre-opening event was held on Friday, May 9th, the day before the event.

Despite the rainy weather, a group had gathered at Shinmachigawa Waterfront Park. This was the eve of the festival.



The eve of the festival was attended by Nakamura Eriko, who has served as Tokushima Anime Ambassador for over 10 years since 2014, Takahashi Yuma from Aniplex, and Tokushima Prefecture Vice Governor Murakami Koji dressed as Tomioka Giyuu from 'Demon Slayer: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba.'



At the eve of the festival, the second car of the food truck '

ufotable Cafe TO GO ,' which has also set up shop at Machi★Asobi multiple times, was unveiled. 'When you look at it from the front, it looks like a delivery truck,' said Takahashi.



However, on the right side there was a large image of Rengoku Kyojuro, the Flame Pillar from 'Demon Slayer: Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba,' and the moment the image came into view, the people gathered there let out exclaims of 'Wow!'



The car slowly circled around and showed us a picture of Tanjiro Kamado on the left side. Both were taken from the soundtrack jacket illustrations.



During business hours, the side panels will be lifted up like this, so it is a rare opportunity to see both illustrations. When the panels are lifted up, illustrations of the eight pillars are lined up.



In addition, the 'Machi★Asobi Sauna' was announced, which will be a first for Machi★Asobi.



Speaking of saunas, there's the 'löyly' technique, where water is poured onto sauna stones. Taking advantage of this rare opportunity, the three decided to hold the 'First Löyly' at Machi Asobi Sauna.



First, Nakamura and Takahashi performed a loyly, and then Vice Governor Murakami performed a loyly using the 'Water Breathing' technique, matching their movements.



Machi★Asobi vol.28 will be held on Saturday, May 10th and Sunday, May 11th, 2025.

On the day of Machi★Asobi, Nakamura will be the Tokushima Anime Ambassador and will make a brief appearance as store manager at 'Our Square' in front of Tokushima Station and at 'Arudeyo Tokushima' at the Awa Odori Hall.



There will also be a surprise live broadcast on the Tokushima Prefecture official Instagram.
