Google has significantly updated its filmmaking tool 'Flow' and music production tool 'Flow Music,' introducing Gemini Omni, an AI agent, custom tool creation features, and a new mobile app.

Flow is a web-based AI tool that can generate videos from text, images, and multiple other materials, and perform editing such as cutting, trimming, and adding new scenes all within a single app. Additionally, the music generation tool ' Google Flow Music ' was added in early 2026.

In addition to the introduction of 'Gemini Omni,' a new AI model designed to enhance Flow's performance, several other new features were announced at Google I/O 2026.

First, as the first release of the new multimodal generation model 'Gemini Omni,' Gemini Omni Flash will be available in Flow. Gemini Omni is a model that allows for more intuitive video editing using only natural language, and because all prompts inherit the previous context, the appearance and characteristics of the characters are consistently maintained while the flow of the entire scene is also firmly remembered. Furthermore, Gemini Omni not only creates scenes that look realistic, but also logically infers 'what will happen next,' so it can generate meaningful scenes without breaking the laws of physics.

The following is an example of video editing using Gemini Omni. The people in the video have been replaced with characters, but Gemini Omni improves the consistency of the characters, ensuring that their individuality and voices are maintained in every scene.



In a demo posted by Google DeepMind, a photo of a fish is combined with a video of a kitchen to create a video of a fish swimming in the air above the kitchen.




Additionally, Google has added 'Google Flow Agent,' an AI agent that provides constant support for video creation using Flow. Built on Gemini, Google Flow Agent supports the entire project, from initial ideas to suggesting character dialogue for specific scenes and plots, as well as providing direct assistance with production and editing.

In addition, Google Flow offers 'Google Flow Tools,' which allows you to generate your own tools and workflows using natural language, making it easy to create custom tools such as image editors, video resizing tools, and custom shaders without any coding knowledge. You can also share the tools you create with other Flow users.



Google Flow Music has also received several new features. You can now edit songs section by section, and reinterpret previously created songs into new ones while maintaining the original melody and structure, offering more granular editing control. Additionally, Gemini Omni is now available in Flow Music, allowing you to generate music videos that match the story and tempo of a song while interacting with an agent.

Furthermore, the release of mobile apps for both Flow and Flow Music was also announced. Flow is currently available in beta for Android, with the iOS version coming soon.
