Personal Intelligence is a feature that provides personalized responses to each user based on information such as 'emails exchanged via Gmail,' 'images saved in Google Photos,' 'Google search history,' and 'YouTube viewing history.' Personal Intelligence has been available to US users since January 2026, and became available to Japanese users from April 14, 2026.
By referencing information from sources like Gmail, Gemini can use personal information such as 'user preferences' and 'items the user owns' in its responses. For example, it can respond to a personal question like, 'Suggest some outdoor activities that I might be interested in.'
Users can customize which apps' information is made accessible.

Personal Intelligence will be rolled out to Japanese users over a week starting April 14, 2026.
