Anthropic's new 'Research' investigates and searches user questions from various angles. Anthropic claims that 'Research allows you to systematically process open questions and provide high-quality, comprehensive answers in just a few minutes.' In addition, to increase transparency of the generated results, the source of the answer is also displayed.

Research is available as an early beta to Claude users in Japan, the United States, and Brazil who subscribe to

the Max , Team , or Enterprise plans .

Anthropic also announced that Claude can now integrate with Gmail and Google Calendar in addition to Google Docs. With Google Workspace , Claude will be able to search your email, view your documents, and see your calendar events.

By using Research in conjunction with Google Workspace, you can do things like 'search email history, calendars, and the latest information from clients to create detailed briefing documents' and 'analyze past study materials and notes to create more personalized study plans.'

In addition to the integration of Research and Google Workspace, Claude Enterprise administrators can also use Google Docs cataloging. This uses a special index of Google Docs used within the organization to search for information buried in long documents or scattered across multiple files. Anthropic appealed, 'The high level of security provided by Claude Enterprise allows us to provide accurate answers while maintaining the confidentiality of your organization's information.'

The Google Workspace integration is available in beta to all paid Claude users, and Enterprise admins must enable Google Workspace access for their entire domain before individual users can link their accounts.
