However, it was unable to surpass OpenAI's ChatGPT in the App Store rankings, and Musk claimed that 'Apple is manipulating the rankings to prevent anyone other than OpenAI from reaching number one,' and threatened to take legal action.

Elon Musk claims that Apple is manipulating Grok and X to prevent them from reaching the top of the App Store rankings, threatening a lawsuit. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman refutes the allegations, Apple also issues an official statement, and Grok also claims that Musk is inferior.

The lawsuit was filed by xAI and X against Apple and OpenAI, alleging that Apple and OpenAI are violating antitrust laws by monopolizing the market and controlling it to prevent innovators like X and xAI from competing.

When Musk filed for legal action, Apple issued a counterargument, stating that the App Store is designed to be fair and unbiased, but did not comment on the lawsuit.

An OpenAI spokesperson responded, 'This lawsuit is consistent with a continuing pattern of harassment by Mr. Musk.'
