Apple offers AppleCare+, a compensation service exclusively for Apple products. This AppleCare+ is a monthly paid subscription plan that can be subscribed to at the time of purchase or within 60 days of purchase, and allows you to receive low-cost services such as repairs for damage caused by negligence or accidents, as well as priority support. In addition, the 'Theft and Loss Plan' exclusively for iPhones allows you to receive coverage for theft and loss up to twice a year. However, this AppleCare+ basically requires one plan contract per product.

The newly announced AppleCare One allows up to three products to be registered under one plan. You can also register additional devices after the fourth one by paying $5.99 (about 880 yen) per month. In addition, while the price of AppleCare+ varied depending on the type of product, AppleCare One is unified at $19.99 per month.

The coverage is the same as AppleCare+, including a battery warranty, unlimited repairs for accidental damage, and 24/7 priority technical support.

However, according to Apple, older products to be added to AppleCare One must be in 'good condition' and may undergo a diagnostic check before being added. In addition, products that can be added must be within four years of purchase, but Apple has added the restriction that 'headphones must be within one year of purchase.'

At the time of writing, AppleCare One is scheduled to be available in the United States, and customers will be able to apply for AppleCare One on their iPhone, iPad, Mac, or at an Apple Store from Thursday, July 24, 2025.

In addition, while the AppleCare+ theft and loss plan was previously only available for iPhones, it has also been reported that it will be available for iPads and Apple Watches in the US from July 24th.
