Google launches new device protection program 'Pixel Care+'
Google has announced a new device protection program called ' Pixel Care+ ' for its genuine 'Made by Google' devices. Pixel Care+ is a program designed to provide users of Made by Google products with even more comprehensive warranties, services, and peace of mind.

Google has previously offered two device protection programs, Preferred Care and Google Fi Device Protection . The company is offering a new device protection program called Pixel Care+ to replace these. Users currently subscribed to Preferred Care and Google Fi Device Protection will be transitioned to Pixel Care+ in the coming months.
Preferred Care is a device protection program that upgrades the standard one-year manufacturer's warranty and covers accidental damage (including drops, water damage, and cracks) and mechanical or electrical breakdowns. A replacement device of equal or better quality will be provided for these breakdowns. Accidental damage coverage appears to be available up to two times per 12-month period, starting from the date of the first replacement. During the Preferred Care coverage period, there is no limit on the number of warranty claims for mechanical or electrical breakdowns that occur after the expiration of your Google warranty.
In contrast, the new benefits of Pixel Care+ are as follows:

Pixel Care+ offers the industry's best warranty for Pixel devices. Most common repairs, including display and battery replacements and other accidental damage, are covered at no cost to you. Pixel Care+ also features an improved claims process that makes getting your phone repaired or replaced easy and intuitive. You can open a claim directly from the Google Store and choose the location and time for repair. With Pixel Care+, you can also open a claim directly from the new My Pixel app .
Pixel Care+ will be available for new eligible devices in the US starting August 27, 2025. Customers can apply for Made by Google devices within 60 days of purchase, regardless of where they were purchased.
