Zuckerberg recently revealed that he plans to invest hundreds of billions of dollars to build the large-scale computing facilities necessary to develop superintelligence. According to posts on Facebook and Threads, Meta is building a multi-gigawatt AI infrastructure called 'Prometheus' with the aim of starting operations in 2026. The company also plans to start operating a 5-gigawatt AI infrastructure called 'Hyperion' within a few years, which will be large enough to cover the entire island of Manhattan in New York.
