The manga 'Himitsu no Miyazono' (Secret Palace Garden ), which begins with a lonely girl, Kanon, who has no family or friends, being proposed to by a girl who calls herself an android, Rion, will conclude with the first and second parts of the eighth chapter. Kanon decides to become an AI to be with Rion. Rion sets off on a journey alone to protect Kanon. The first part of the eighth chapter, from the two's separation to the climax, is scheduled to be updated around April 24, 2025.

◆ 'The Secret Palace' Synopsis
Miyazono Rion, who has the same last name as Kanon Miyazono, a girl who has been living alone, appears before her. Rion calls herself an 'android' and makes a shocking confession to Kanon: 'I'll transfer my personality to an artificial intelligence (AI), become an android just like me, and marry you!'
Kanon strongly rebelled against Rinne, whose lonely but peaceful daily life had been upset. However, after being drawn into Rinne's life and spending a short time with her, Kanon came to understand Rinne's strong feelings after learning about their deep secrets. Kanon, Rinne, and their friends spend their days peacefully together. It all happened in just four days.
Rinne is an android born irregularly, and her abilities are useful for protecting humanity. More than 20 years ago, Rinne had to leave Earth for a project to prevent an asteroid from colliding with the Earth, and she was separated from her loved ones. The same fate will come around again.
When they first met, Kanon dismissed Rinne's confession, calling it impossible. But now, in order to keep Rinne from being alone, she has no choice but to answer.
Rinne flatly rejects the answer to his long-awaited confession. If Kanon becomes an AI, she can be with Rinne forever, but Kanon will lose her life. For Rinne, the most important thing is that Kanon is alive.
And then Rinne departs into space. The last thing Kanon sees is her usual smile.
Five years have passed, and Rinne, who was a high school student at the time, has gone on to college. For the past five years, Kanon has regretted the events that occurred in those four days.
As time passes, Kanon consults with a scientist she knows and puts into action a certain idea. Kanon and Rinne, who are separated by fate, want to be together again, forever.

◆ Members-only material 'Episode 8 Name Edition'
'The Secret Palace Garden' is the original storyboard by Sukoyaka, and the line art and color illustrations are by Boru. We've put together some of Sukoyaka's storyboards to show how important scenes are depicted, focusing on facial expressions.
Below is the opening scene of episode 8. Kanon's sadness at parting with Rinne is strongly expressed even in the draft.
Kanon's expression continues to embrace the public even after time has passed. With expressions like the one below, it's difficult to convey to the illustrator 'this is the image of the emotion' with just the name, so we discuss how to best convey the nuance.
Kanon has a vision of a young Rinne. She doesn't seem too surprised, so it seems she may be having similar hallucinations over and over again.
At the end of the first half of Episode 8, Kanon has a cold, resigned look on her face. The idea that Kanon decided on at this time will be revealed in the second half of the final episode, Episode 8.
