◆ 'Let me make it! Ejima-san' Episode 6 Synopsis
Kaido and Eshima belong to the 'Game Club' at a certain art university. Kaido does not hide his love for Eshima, but he directs all of his affection towards creating a game modeled after Eshima. Eshima wants people to pay attention to her, not the game, but she is unable to be honest with him and continues to approach him in a roundabout way, getting angry and irritated.

No matter how much Ejima approaches her, Kaido is too fond of her and ends up turning her into a game. The more Ejima is excited, the more Kaido's creative spirit burns, and sometimes he comes back with technical skills that go beyond even games.

The battle between the two continues into summer vacation. For Ejima, who is graduating this year, it is her last summer vacation. Kaido and Ejima head to the beach with the members of their club.

The open sea and bright sunshine might help him feel in a different mood than usual. But Kaido is still as engrossed in making games as ever.

Ejima overcomes her embarrassment and makes an exciting approach to Kaido, who is always thinking about games... will she be able to get him to notice her?

What I want you to pay attention to in Episode 6 is the 'screen composition.' For example, in the first page below, in order to emphasize the impact of 'setting out to sea right from the beginning,' the first frame is made as large as possible and designed to give it the momentum of jumping out.

In 'Let Me Make It! Ejima-san', Kaido makes all sorts of strange original games, but the game settings are not particularly related to the story. However, rather than just mentioning that he is making a game, the more details he goes into 'what kind of game it is', the more interesting it becomes, so in the game introduction scene, the initial storyboard (left) was changed to the finished storyboard (right) to pack in more information.

Another thing to be careful about when creating manga images is 'fixing the composition.' In scenes where the stage does not move, frames tend to be lined up with similar camera positions that just move in and out. Because these are frames where conversation continues and there is no movement, it is better to be proactive in creating a composition that will make the reader less likely to get bored.

Finally, the last page has been fine-tuned. Below, the initial draft is on the left, and the finished manuscript is on the right. The lines and composition are exactly the same, but in the initial draft, although the punchline itself was funny, it lacked contrast as a punchline. Therefore, the size of the frames and characters was adjusted to add contrast.
