When you click the Copilot button, which has been added to Paint since version 11.2412.271.0, you will see the following options: ' Cocreator ', which generates an appropriate image by providing a prompt for the sketch; ' Image Creator ', which generates an image by inputting only the prompt; ' Generative Erase ', which removes unnecessary objects from the image; and ' Remove background ', which removes the background. By clicking the task you want to perform from this list, you can use the generative AI function appropriately.

These generative AI features were added to Paint in the November 2024 update, but the addition of the Copilot button makes it easier to use the generative AI features.

KB5050090 also adds the ability for Copilot+ PC to search for photos stored in the cloud. By entering a description such as 'European castle' or 'summer picnic' in the search box at the top right of File Explorer, Copilot+ PC will display photos stored in the cloud as well as locally stored photos that match the entered keywords.

According to Microsoft, at the time of writing this feature is only available when searching directly within File Explorer, but in the future it will be possible to display photos by entering keywords into the Windows search box on the taskbar.

These new features will first be rolled out to Windows Insider Program subscribers who use the Beta channel.
