Notepad version 11.2510.6.0 introduces two new features:

◆ Corresponds to the table
First, Notepad's lightweight formatting capabilities have been expanded to include tables. To insert a table, use the 'Table' option in the formatting toolbar, or add a table directly using Markdown syntax. After inserting a table, you can easily edit it by adding or deleting rows and columns using the right-click context menu or the 'Table' menu in the toolbar.

Note that Windows Notepad only added support for formatting and Markdown in June 2025.

Windows 11 Notepad finally supports formatting and Markdown, and you can revert to pure Notepad in settings - GIGAZINE

◆ Streaming speed of AI text function has been improved
Notepad supports Copilot, a generative AI, and can 'write,' 'rewrite,' and 'summarize' text. Improved streaming response for these functions means they are displayed more quickly.

However, the ability to stream Notepad's 'Rewrite' results is limited to results generated locally on Copilot + your PC , and you must sign in to a Microsoft account to use Copilot's 'Describe,' 'Rewrite,' and 'Summarize' in Notepad.
