'Codex Pets' has been released, allowing you to add pets that report your work progress to the Codex.

OpenAI's AI coding agent, Codex , now has a new feature called ' Codex Pets ' that allows you to add animated companions. With Codex Pets, you can not only choose from pre-designed companions, but also create your own custom-looking companions.

Settings – Codex app | OpenAI Developers

Codex pets are animated companions that can be used by selecting a default appearance from the 'Pets' section under 'Appearance' in the settings.

You can display your work in Codex as an overlay even while using other apps. The overlay can be shown or hidden using 'Ctrl+K' or 'Cmd+K'.

OpenAI Developers, one of OpenAI's official X accounts that announced Codex pets, posted, 'Show us the Codex pets you've hatched.' The reply section to OpenAI Developers then filled with various pets with different appearances, customized by users.
