Zach Bassey, who runs the creator platform TOS.gg , revealed the existence of Twitch's game trial feature, Game Lift, by posting, 'Amazon is experimenting with a feature that allows users to play games through Twitch. This feature is called 'Game Lift,' and it works on PC browsers in the US and Canada, allowing users to play a 20-minute demo of ' REANIMAL '.'

Mr. Bassey entered ' https://www.twitch.tv/gl/reanimal ' into his browser's URL bar. When he actually accessed this URL, he was greeted with the message, 'We're sorry, this content is not currently available. We hope you have a time machine,' indicating that the game trial was not available from Japan.

Then, a notification tagged 'Ad' appeared saying, 'You can play REANIMAL for free for 20 minutes!' The demo is playable in the browser and also includes a Steam purchase link.

Once you start the demo play, you can play the game in your browser.

Once the demo play ends, the Steam purchase link will be displayed again.

As of the time of writing, Game Lift is available to users in the United States and Canada, and the only playable title is REANIMAL. Regarding the fact that games can be played in a browser, Mr. Bassey mentioned that 'cloud-based gameplay is being offered.' It's worth noting that Amazon has been offering its cloud gaming service, Amazon Luna, since March 2022, so this technology may be being utilized.

At the time of writing, details such as how long Game Lift will be available and whether more titles will be added to the test are unknown.
