A taste test review of Burger King's two 'Big Mouth Smokehouse' burgers and 'Smokehouse Smoky Fried Chicken,' featuring a fragrant special sauce made with chopped bacon and sautéed onions.

Burger King's popular 'Big Mouth' burger series has added two new burgers, the ' Bacon Double Beef Big Mouth Smokehouse ' and the ' Onion Ring Double Beef Big Mouth Smokehouse, ' both featuring a savory special smoked bacon sauce, which went on sale April 17th, 2026 (Friday). Along with these new additions, a new 'Smoky Fried Chicken' item, the ' Smokehouse Smoky Fried Chicken ,' was also added, so we tried all three burgers to compare them.

I've come to Burger King.

The 'Big Mouth Smokehouse,' which was our target, was listed in the most prominent place on the menu.

I brought home three hamburgers.

This is the first one, 'Bacon Double Beef Big Mouth Smokehouse'.

The two patties are so large they spill out of the bun.

The actual weight is 295g.

This is what the cross-section looks like. When you take a bite, the savory aroma of well-cooked bacon hits you first, followed by the flavor of the patty topped with the special smoked bacon sauce. The special smoked bacon sauce uses chopped bacon and caramelized onions, giving it a sweet taste that matches the salty flavors of the bacon and patty. However, because the sauce also contains bacon, it has a savory aroma, and in areas with a lot of sauce, the presence of the bacon itself seems to be overshadowed.

Next up is the 'Onion Rings Double Beef Big Mouth Smokehouse.'

Onion rings are sandwiched on top of the patty.

The actual weight is 302g.

Here's what the cross-section looks like. Burger King's beef patties have a strong meaty flavor, and with two of them, a regular burger sauce can sometimes be overpowered by the taste of the patties. However, the special smoked bacon sauce and onion rings add a double dose of sweetness, creating a perfect balance. The crispy coating of the onion rings also adds a nice textural contrast. Although I took this one to go, I think it's best to eat it immediately in the restaurant to preserve its crispness.
