Burger King's 'Steak Sauce Whopper', which has a great compatibility between sauce and meat, needs a little more presence from the diced beef shoulder roast.

Burger King's ' Steak Sauce Whopper ', which

was very popular in 2024 as a premium whopper made of cubes of beef shoulder roast layered on a 100% open-fire grilled beef patty, has been re-released with an improved balance of flavors to enhance the aroma and depth of the sauce, so I bought it and tried it.

The popular Premium Whopper is back for a limited time! Introducing the hearty 'Steak Sauce Whopper' with a flame-grilled 100% beef patty topped with diced beef shoulder roast! Available in two sizes: single and double!

Arrived at Burger King.

There was a banner advertising 'Steak Sauce Whopper' hanging in front of the store.

The Steak Sauce Whopper was placed at the top of the menu, above

the Wild West Burgers .

It only took about 5 minutes from ordering until the Whopper was ready, and even if I took it out, the bag was still warm when I got home. 'ST' is written as Steak Sauce Whopper, and 'DST' is written as Double Steak Sauce Whopper.

I opened the Steak Sauce Whopper package. It's a standard size for a Whopper.

The height is about two-thirds that of a transportation IC card.

When you lift the bun, you can see lettuce, sliced tomatoes, mayonnaise sauce, etc. Hidden underneath is diced beef shoulder roast.

The weight of one Whopper was 280g.

The cross section looks like this.

The cubed beef shoulder rolled on top of the patty. When I tried it, the steak sauce had a slightly sweet soy sauce flavor, which went perfectly with both the cubed beef shoulder and the beef patty. Since this is a 'steak sauce' whopper and not a 'steak' whopper, the volume of the cubed beef shoulder is not that much. The taste of the sauce seemed to be basically aiming for a salty rather than sweet and spicy taste, but some editorial staff who felt the sweetness of the sauce was strong commented that it seemed to have a teriyaki-like taste.

This is the double steak sauce whopper.

The number of beef patties has increased to two.

This is what it looks like when you lift up the buns.

The tomato and lettuce were held up by the mayo sauce, allowing the cubed beef shoulder to be seen.

Each one weighs 374g.

As mentioned above, the steak sauce goes well with the meat and the flavor is well balanced, but by increasing the number of beef patties to two, the strong beef flavor of the beef patty spreads all at once in your mouth, and the diced beef shoulder roast goes missing. If you want to eat a Whopper at Burger King, the Double Steak Sauce Whopper is more suitable because it has two beef patties, but if you want to fully enjoy the diced beef shoulder roast that is unique to this menu, it seems that one patty is better.

The 'Steak Sauce Whopper' is 990 yen (tax included) for a single item and 1290 yen (tax included) for a set. The 'Double Steak Sauce Whopper' is 1340 yen (tax included) for a single item and 1640 yen (tax included) for a set.
