Firefox 150 officially released, with expanded 'Shake to Summarize' feature on smartphones.

The official version of the web browser ' Firefox 150 ' has been released. New features include opening links in split view, copying URLs from multiple tabs at once, and real-time private translation on a dedicated page. Additionally, the 'Shake to Summarize' feature in the smartphone version of Firefox has been updated.

◆The 'Shake to Summarize' feature on the smartphone version has been expanded.
Previously, the iOS version of Firefox had a feature that allowed users to have an AI summarize English articles by shaking their device.

Firefox 150 adds the 'Shake to Summarize' feature to the Android version of Firefox, allowing users to summarize English articles. Additionally, the iOS version of Firefox will support German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, and Italian in addition to English.

◆ Split View Update
The split view feature implemented in Firefox 149 has been enhanced, and a 'Open link in split view' option has been added to the right-click menu for links.

Additionally, a 'Swap left and right tabs' option has been added to the tab's context menu, allowing you to quickly swap the positions of tabs.

◆Multiple tabs can now be shared together.
If you select multiple tabs and then right-click, the option 'Copy [number] links' will appear. This allows you to share URLs all at once.

◆Enhanced PDF editor
Firefox's built-in PDF editor now allows you to rearrange, copy, paste, delete, and export pages within a PDF.

◆A real-time private translation page is now available.
To open the private translation page, simply type 'translate' into the URL bar and click the translation icon button that appears.

Alternatively, you can access a page that allows you to translate while maintaining your privacy by directly typing 'about:translations' into the URL bar. Please note that private translation is a feature only available on the desktop version.

- The new Firefox profile management system is now available to all users.
- A feature to back up profiles has been added to the Windows version.

- Added new element-specific sections to the pseudo-class toggle panel.
- Document.caretPositionFromPoint() should now return the position within the shadow DOM only if a shadow root is passed via the shadowRoots option.
- The developer tools' network monitor should now display connections with certificates not registered with Mozilla's root CA.
- Supports the areaNotify API
- Supports the pseudo-classes ':playing' and ':paused' for media elements.
- Supports highlightsFromPoint()
- Supports light-dark() for images
- The color-mix() function can now accept any number of colors.
- Supports the `auto` value for the `sizes` attribute of lazy-loaded images.
Additionally, Firefox 150 includes several security bug fixes .
The next major version, 'Firefox 151,' is scheduled for release on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 (local time).
