The price increases were announced for the 'Meta Quest 3' (512GB model), which will be released in October 2023, and the 'Meta Quest 3S' (256GB and 128GB models), which will be released in October 2024.

According to Meta, the price of key components for building high-performance VR headsets, particularly memory chips, has risen globally, making price adjustments essential to continue delivering the expected hardware, software, and support quality with Quest.
The price changes for each product are as follows: in the US, the Quest 3S has increased by $50 (approximately 7,970 yen), and the Quest 3 by $100 (approximately 15,900 yen). Prices in Japan include value-added tax, and there is a difference in price for the Quest 3S, with the price increase being larger for models with more storage.
