Introduction to Maxon Autograph - YouTube

Autograph allows you to perform video editing such as motion graphics, compositing, and visual effects. It is optimized for speed and operates smoothly, and is advertised as 'providing a creative environment for everyone who wants an integrated toolset.'

It allows you to convert text into a 3D extruded mesh with a single click, or create complex shape animations. In addition to SVG files from Illustrator and Figma, it can also import PSD files from Affinity and Photoshop.

Design compositions can be made responsive, allowing rendering to multiple formats with just one composition. Its unique relative definition system not only accelerates the workflow but also 'flexibly accommodates last-minute format changes and requests.'

It allows linking with external data and separates graphic creation and editing tasks. Examples of its use include 'creating a weather forecast animation once, and then simply editing a spreadsheet table to switch to the appropriate weather from the next day onward.'

Furthermore, animations and effects on layers are controlled using a system called modifiers. For example, to add random movement to text, simply apply the 'Add Noise' modifier to the 'Position' attribute. Numerous other animations are also available as presets.

You can find information about other Autograph features on the ' Main Features ' page.

Furthermore, Autograph is released for free for individual users, and commercial use is permitted for individuals. A tutorial is also available to help you learn how to use it, so if you're interested, be sure to check it out.
