Unitree's humanoid robot H1 achieves a speed of 10 meters per second, approaching Usain Bolt's record for the fastest human speed.

A humanoid robot developed by the Chinese robotics company Unitree has successfully run at a speed of 10 meters per second. Unitree claims this is close to Usain Bolt's world record for the 100-meter dash of 9.58 seconds.

The robot that recorded a speed of 10 meters per second is a humanoid robot called ' H1 '. Its legs are about 80 cm long and it weighs about 62 kg. In a video released by Unitree, you can see H1 sprinting at full speed in a unique form in which its upper body is almost completely still.

The measuring instrument displayed a speed of 10.1 meters per second.

Unitree CEO Xingxing Wang previously stated that 'humanoid robots could break the 10-second barrier in the 100-meter dash by mid-2026, potentially surpassing Usain Bolt's speed.'
Running has become one of the key test metrics for Chinese humanoid robot manufacturers. At the 2025 World Humanoid Robot Competition, Tiangong Ultra, developed by China's AI Robotics Innovation Center, won the 100m race in 21.50 seconds, beating Unitree's H1. Furthermore, Tiangong Ultra participated in the world's first humanoid robot half marathon held on April 19, 2025, and won with a time of approximately 2 hours and 40 minutes. In addition, a company called MirrorMe has announced that it has achieved a record of 10 meters per second. The second humanoid robot half marathon is scheduled to be held on April 19, 2026.
