PlayerBase is a project that offers the chance to 'become a character in a game,' and as of the time of writing, it will be available in parts of North and South America, Europe, Asia, South Africa, and Australia. The first title for which applications are being accepted is ' Gran Turismo 7 ' from Polyphony Digital , one of the PlayStation Studios, and other titles will be announced sequentially in the future.

You can apply to the player base from the following page, and you will need to answer several questions about your experience with PlayStation when applying. The application page also states, 'Please tell us about your passion for PlayStation so that we can select you.' You will also need to sign in with your PlayStation account to apply.

If you pass the selection process, your appearance data will be scanned at a PlayStation Studios studio (planned to be in the United States). However, due to legal restrictions in Japan, travel expenses and accommodation costs to the studio cannot be covered, so you will need to travel to the studio at your own expense.

In the case of Gran Turismo 7, a character resembling the user will appear in the game for a limited time, and users can also participate in creating the fantasy logo and car livery. The completed works will be permanently displayed in the 'Showcase'.
