List of new anime series starting in Spring 2026
As the anime currently airing and streaming ends, it's time for new series to begin. Over 90 anime series are set to start in Spring 2026 (around March to June 2026). Even if past lists missed some short anime, this season likely boasts the highest number of series ever. Just watching the promotional videos for all of them will take a considerable amount of time.
The lineup includes many sequels to popular series, with ' Steel Ball Run: JoJo's Bizarre Adventure 1ST STAGE ' being the long-awaited seventh anime adaptation of the series. Also, ' Re:Zero − Starting Life in Another World ,' ' Classroom of the Elite, ' and ' Dr. STONE ' are each in their fourth installments. ' Himitsu no I-Pri ' is the tenth installment in the Pretty Series (excluding selections and including 'KING OF PRISM -Shiny Seven Stars-').
Works that do not have a novel or manga source material include ' Magical Sisters Lulu Lily ,' the first new installment in the 'Pierrot Magical Girl Series' in a long time, and ' Ghost Concert: Missing Songs, ' a song battle series project that follows 'Symphogear.'
The list of works is arranged in order from the earliest broadcast/streaming date.
Due to the large number of streaming services, information other than the fastest available streaming time is generally grouped together under 'Other Streaming Services.'

The Japan Angel Federation's Escort Service is tasked with searching for and finding souls that are unable to find peace in the mortal world due to lingering attachments, and sending them to the underworld. The angels are kept extremely busy. The 21st squad, the Dandelion Team, consisting of Tetsuo Tanba and squad leader Misaki Kurotetsu, works at their own pace with each soul, helping them resolve their lingering attachments and guide them towards peace. One day, they encounter the earthbound spirit of an elderly man running away at full speed.
The original work is a one-shot manga that won an honorable mention at Shueisha's 71st Tenkaichi Manga Award and was published in Weekly Shonen Jump. It is the debut work of Hideaki Sorachi, known for Gintama. The cast also features many names from the Gintama anime.
Regarding the anime adaptation, Sorachi commented, 'I try not to reread my debut work because it's embarrassing, but to think they've dug it up and turned it into an anime and expanded on it in various ways...it seems Netflix has no sense of tact. But since it's such a good opportunity, I might as well take this chance to go and see those guys' faces for the first time in 20 years.'
Meanwhile, Daichi Nagatomi, Executive Producer at Netflix Anime Creative, commented, 'The anime 'Dandelion' is a bold and risky undertaking, created by the editors at Shueisha's 'Weekly Shonen Jump' editorial department, production company NAZ, and the producers of the Netflix anime team, to turn Sorachi-sensei's debut one-shot manga into a seven-episode series. Netflix was mocked in the promotional video for the 'Gintama' movie, but the entire staff has put their all into creating the anime 'Dandelion' in order to provide new nourishment for Sorachi-sensei. We hope that those who are tired of the various things in this world can enjoy it at their own pace, even if only for a little while.'
