Hi, Sky - YouTube
OpenAI's acquisition of Software Applications Incorporated, the developer of Sky, will enable the company to bring Sky's tight integration with macOS and its product technology to ChatGPT. The Software Applications Incorporated development team will join OpenAI.
'We're building a future where ChatGPT doesn't just respond to user instructions, it helps people get things done,' said Nick Turley, vice president of ChatGPT. 'Our close collaboration with Sky and Mac accelerates our vision of embedding AI directly into the tools people use every day.'
Ari Weinstein, co-founder and CEO of Software Applications Incorporated, said, 'We've always wanted computers to be more powerful, more customizable, and more intuitive. With LLM, all of this is finally possible. That's why we built Sky, an AI experience that floats on your desktop and helps you think and create. We're thrilled to join OpenAI and bring this vision to hundreds of millions of people.'
OpenAI posted, 'Please stay tuned for future updates as we continue to integrate Sky features.'
Sky's official website states, 'Sky joins OpenAI.' In response, Sky explained, 'We founded this company because we realized that large-scale language models (LLMs) could finally deliver what we've always wanted: software that's easy to use and deeply customizable for the user. That vision led to Sky. A natural language interface that floats on your Mac desktop, putting your personal AI at your fingertips. Whether you're chatting, writing, planning, coding, or anything else, Sky understands what's on your screen and takes action in your apps. We're now joining OpenAI to bring these capabilities to even more people. We can't wait to share more with you in the future.'
