Google has begun testing the Google app for Windows , which has file search and web search functions on your PC, as well as the ability to analyze various images using Google Lens.

Once you install the Google app for Windows, you can press Alt and Space to bring up the search bar. From the search bar, you can search for files on your PC, information on the web, and even files stored in Google Drive.
It also comes with Google Lens, which allows you to load images to search for information or solve geometric problems.
It can also translate text contained in images, and can even gather information using
Ars Technica, a foreign media outlet that actually tried out the Google app for Windows, commented, 'Windows' standard search function is difficult to use. The Google app for Windows is still in the testing phase, but it's already better than the Windows search function.'
In order to participate in the Google app for Windows test, you need to register for the test through Search Labs , but at the time of writing, Japan does not appear to be included in the test countries.
