Ars Technica, a foreign media outlet that actually tried out the Google app for Windows, commented, 'Windows' standard search function is difficult to use. The Google app for Windows is still in the testing phase, but it's already better than the Windows search function.'

In order to participate in the Google app for Windows test, you need to register for the test through Search Labs , but at the time of writing, Japan does not appear to be included in the test countries.
