Ternus asserted that the iPhone Air is 'more durable than any iPhone ever made,' highlighting its superior water resistance and new Ceramic Shield 2 technology, which offers three times the scratch resistance, as well as its outstanding drop performance. Furthermore, he noted that the iPhone Air exceeds Apple's internal standards, which he said are extremely high. He attributed this strength to the overall system design, the choice of materials, and in particular the titanium frame, which is exceptionally strong in ensuring strength in a thin shape.

'Our development team selects the best materials for each product,' Joswiak said. 'The use of titanium in a product as thin as the iPhone Air was key to creating an incredibly strong enclosure.'

When the interviewer asks, 'Have you tested it on your butt?', Jozwiak replies, 'Try bending it. I'll take responsibility,' and tosses the iPhone Air to him.

The interviewer tries to bend the iPhone Air by hand, applying a lot of force, but there's no sign of it bending.

The other interviewer also tried it, but commented, 'It bends a little, but quickly returns to its original shape.' Joswiak said, 'That's the idea. It's like earthquake-resistant building.'

Tom's Guide states, 'Apple hasn't forgotten about the 'Bendgate' issue that caused the iPhone 6/6 Plus to bend.'
