I tried using 'EasyRec.app', which allows you to record and transcribe for free using only a web browser

A web app called ' EasyRec.app ' has been released that allows you to record and transcribe for free without having to prepare any special equipment, as long as you are in an environment where you can use the web browsers Chrome, Edge, or Safari, so I tried using it.

EasyRec.app – The Easiest Free Voice Recorder & Transcriber WebApplication

EasyRec.app has been released - Tokoroten - Medium

When I accessed the site, it was already 'Ready to record.'

This time I accessed it from a laptop, and a dialog box appeared requesting access to the microphone, so I clicked 'Allow this time only' to try it just once.

Then just click the green button to start recording.

The button will turn red, and with a web browser open, you can start speaking into your laptop and have what you say transcribed in real time.

Click the button again to return it to green and end recording. The transcript will be displayed in the dialogue at the bottom. The transcript can be downloaded as a text file.

The contents of the text file are in an easy-to-use format: '[timestamp] statement'.

Please note that since we use the Web Speech API for voice recognition, transcription is not possible on unsupported browsers such as Firefox.

Scroll down the page to see your past recording history.

You can also download past recordings and transcriptions until you click 'Clear History' or delete cookies. Recording files are in MP3 format. Note that the recording data is only stored in the browser and not on the server.

You can also change microphone settings, recognition language, and UI language.

Checking 'Night Mode' will change the appearance.

According to the creator, Tokoroten , this application is a demonstration of Vibe coding, and 99% of the code was generated by Github Copilot Agent.
