'For more than 40 years, Linda and I have lived at the intersection of technology and faith. Today, that intersection goes even deeper as we begin a new chapter -- one in which I will take on an expanded role at Gloo. Effective today, I have been named Executive Chairman and Chief Technology Officer of Gloo,' Gelsinger wrote in a LinkedIn post.
Gloo is a platform company for religious organizations such as churches, aid agencies, publishers, seminaries and home schools, allowing them to set up web pages and provide AI assistants trained on the church's own content.
Gelsinger, who has been involved in Christian-related businesses since around 2013, has served as a director of Gloo and has been involved as an investor. Gelsinger is also involved in the development of Gloo's AI chatbot service 'Kallm,' and in January 2025 posted a post praising DeepSeek-R1 compared to OpenAI's o1.

Gelsinger said Kallm and other AI-related efforts will be fundamental to his work at Gloo, noting, 'In all of our work, we are deeply committed to open source, trust through transparency, benchmarking, and licensing of content for training and use of AI.'
'There has never been a more important time for faith-based communities to play an active role in shaping technology as a force for good,' said Gelsinger. 'As we have seen with social media, the impacts of technological advances can be swift, profound and long-lasting. AI is an even more powerful yet evolving tool. It is essential that we ensure that AI is used to enhance the human experience and not cause harm.'
