'Apple Intelligence,' announced during the WWDC24 keynote, includes features such as assistive writing, transcription and summarization of recordings, and image generation. Apple has also partnered with OpenAI to integrate ChatGPT into iOS 18 , iPadOS 18 , and macOS Sequoia , enabling users to use ChatGPT for question and answer sessions, text generation, image generation, and more.

In addition, OpenAI says that when you access ChatGPT using Siri, your requests will not be stored by OpenAI, and your IP address will be obscured, among other privacy protection features.

'Apple's strong focus on safety and innovation aligns with OpenAI's mission to make advanced AI accessible to everyone. Apple has also indicated that it wants to integrate Google's Gemini into its products. At an event following the keynote, Craig Federighi, Apple's senior vice president of Software Engineering, and John Giannandrea, senior vice president of Machine Learning and AI Strategy, said, 'Ultimately, we want to enable users to bring the AI models they want to use into Apple products, so they can choose the model they want to use, whether it's a model that's best suited for creative writing or coding. To that end, we're looking to integrate various AI models, including Google's Gemini, into Apple products in the future.'
Federighi also explained why he first integrated ChatGPT into Apple products: 'We wanted to start with the best in the industry.'
It has previously been reported that Apple may adopt Gemini to strengthen its AI capabilities.
