In “Gasya De~su!!”, we use three main types of backgrounds. The image below is a frame with a proper background that allows you to see at a glance 'where and what you are doing.'

In addition, in the frame on the right below, instead of a background, we have added a color and effect called a 'pattern background' that conveys the atmosphere and impression of the scene. Other times, like the panel on the far left of the image below, you may want to make the character or dialogue stand out by not drawing anything in the background.

In the production of episode 10, there were almost no corrections or changes to the story development or character movements. On the other hand, a number of points were considered regarding ``frames where the lack of a background is disturbing.'' The background is not required for all panels, and may be omitted depending on the balance or purpose of the panel. However, since it is a full-color manga, the pure white background can sometimes be distracting. For example, in the scene below, because the rival Mitsuki and the main character Kiyu are placed in contrast, many areas remain white as the background, so we added mob characters and a patterned background. The images below are before correction on the left and after correction on the right, and you can compare the impression of the scene by moving the slide bar.

Similarly, in the scene below, the lack of a background was noticeable, so I added a background to make it easier to understand where and what was happening in the scene. The left one is before modification, the right one is after modification.

Also, in the scene below, even before the correction on the left, the absence of the background was not so noticeable that it was a problem, but the fact that Kiyu in the second frame was 'sandwiched between frames 1 and 3' It made an impression. However, adding a background or pattern background would make it too cluttered, so the author's idea was to add only simple effects, as shown in the modified version on the right.

You may want to adjust the composition in ways other than adding a background. In the scene below, before the correction on the left, the white background was a little noticeable, but since this is a scene where we want to strengthen the impression of the character, we did not want to add a background or pattern background. For this reason, we have devised a way to reduce the proportion of white areas by drawing the characters larger.

Another small point that was changed during production was the facial expressions of the characters. The image on the left below is the initial name, with Mitsuki, the rival who declares war on Kiyu, glaring sharply at her. Up until this point, Kiyu and Mitsuki have talked about their private lives and gotten closer, but the characters' impressions have been adjusted to accommodate the flow of them still taking the fight seriously.

Finally, in the 10th episode of ``Gas Shop!!'', the characters are wearing costumes exclusively for the ``Gas Exhibition'' event, and we got the author's comment regarding this. Since Kiyu's company Stargazing Lifestyle Co., Ltd. has a cafe attached to the gas exhibition, they decided to create a cute, matching design that gives it a cafe feel, but since the gas exhibition is during Halloween, it also looks like a cosplay. It seems that it was designed by Also, in the initial draft, the costume was planned to be an apron and a newsboy cap, but as a result of choosing a hat large enough not to cover Kiyu's bangs, it was changed to a beret.
