This report is by Mr. Ron Amadeo of IT news site Ars Technica. The period of use is only 4 days until it breaks, Amadeo wrote, ``A flame that burns twice as bright burns out twice as fast.''

According to Amadeo, the Pixel Fold was on his desk and he occasionally touched it, but it wasn't dropped or covered in a lot of sand.

On the fourth day after the start of use, the bottom 10 pixels of the screen stopped responding, and a pure white line with 100% brightness appeared. After that, the left half of the display stopped responding, and after an hour the white gradation spread toward the top of the screen.

The appearance of Pixel Fold shown by Mr. Amadeo. Certainly, the bottom part of the screen is pure white.

Regarding the cause of the failure, Mr. Amadeo said that a very small amount of dust entered from the edge where the plastic layer that protects the surface of the flexible OLED (organic EL display) was cut off, and the pressure when the display was closed pushed the dust into the OLED panel. I presumed that a hole was made in the

Amadeo actually found tiny holes in the exposed OLED panel between the plastic layer and the bezel.

In addition, the height of the plastic layer and the bezel is almost flat, and when the terminal is folded, the displays facing each other almost completely contact each other, so when garbage is caught, the display will be damaged. Amadeo speculates.

However, Mr. Amadeo describes the Pixel Fold as an excellent device other than durability.

Reviews of the Pixel Fold have been posted overseas on The New York Times review sites Wirecutter and The Washington Post , IT news sites Engadget , The Verge , 9to5google , PetaPixel , etc. Overall, the performance has been praised. However, 'high price' and 'weight of terminal' are regarded as problems.
