A young boy was handcuffed by police after being accused of spilling milk during lunchtime.
It's hard to imagine someone being arrested for spilling milk, but the milk incident was merely the trigger, and it seems the boy's attitude toward the police officer made the situation worse.

A boy attending Ben Franklin Middle School in California was handcuffed by a police officer after refusing to wipe up spilled milk.
A sixth-grade boy was eating lunch with his classmates in the cafeteria when a teacher told him to wipe up a puddle of milk. The puddle was directly in front of where he was sitting, so the teacher handed him a napkin, but the boy refused and became what police described as 'belligerent,' telling the teacher, 'That's ridiculous. I didn't spill it.'
Afterwards, a school police officer arrived after hearing the commotion and, like the teacher, asked him to clean up the spilled milk, but he simply shouted back, 'That's ridiculous, I can't do that!' He had been sitting in his seat the whole time, but he stood up, threw everything on his tray into a trash can, and tried to leave.
The officer warned the boy, 'Don't move until you receive instructions from the teacher,' and grabbed him by the arm, making a gesture of taking him away as part of an educational instruction. The boy then became agitated, shook off the officer's arm, left the cafeteria, and ran to the entrance. However, he was no match for the officer, and was tackled to the ground, where the officer jumped on him and handcuffed him.
Even so, the boy continued to struggle in the police officers' arms, trying to escape, but to no avail. The boy was then called into the principal's office, where the incident was resolved after a discussion with his father, who had come to pick him up.
The boy, who seemed to be angry at the police officer and ran away, certainly seems suspicious, but in the end it is never confirmed for sure whether he was the one who spilled the milk, which leaves a slightly unpleasant aftertaste.
