I went to check out Machi★Asobi Vol.30 'Phrase Gallery Roundtable Discussion & On-Stage Autograph Session,' where lines of people waiting for autographs formed one after another in a commercial building in Tokushima.

At 'Machi★Asobi,' where the entire city of Tokushima becomes an anime and game event venue, autograph sessions by anime production staff, illustrators, voice actors, and others are held everywhere. At

Machi★Asobi Vol. 30 , held on May 16, 2026, an autograph session by Toru Minazuki, Takehito Harada, and Raita Honjo was hastily organized, so I went to check it out.

Phrase Gallery is a label operated by Bellpalette Co., Ltd. that holds exhibitions and sells merchandise related to anime, games, and manga. This time, following an inquiry from the Machi★Asobi staff asking, 'We have a free stage, would you like to participate?', a talk show and autograph session disguised as a roundtable discussion by people associated with Bellpalette Co., Ltd. has been hastily arranged.

The venue is Amico Dome, located on the second floor of Amico, a commercial building in front of JR Tokushima Station.

The host, Takayuki Fujita, is an editor at Bellpalette Editorial Production Co., Ltd. and a former editor of the bishoujo game magazine '

TECH GIAN '. Freelance writer Mitsuhiro Shimatani is a former editor of ' Dengeki Hobby Magazine ' and ' Comptiq '.

And then there are the illustrators, Toru Minazuki, Takehito Harada, and Raita Honjo. Minazuki is known for his character designs in ' Shizuku ,' ' Kizuato, ' and ' To Heart ,' Harada for his character designs in ' Makai Senki Disgaea ' and ' Fate/Grand Order ,' and Honjo for his character designs in ' Valkyria Chronicles ' and 'Fate/Grand Order.'

The talk was supposed to be about games from the 1990s to the early 2000s (Heisei era)... but instead, a signing session started immediately. When Fujita called out to the audience, 'Who wants an autograph?', a crowd of people quickly raised their hands.

'Yes, you there!' Fujita said, pointing to people one after another who were asking for autographs.

The selected people formed a line next to the stage.

The autograph session proceeds efficiently, with attendees moving on to the next person as soon as they receive their autograph.

Once the line started to thin out, Fujita would again select participants for the autograph session from the audience.

Minazuki-san not only writes names but also adds illustrations. Some fans even brought mini pop-up displays of characters from 'To Heart.'

While the three of them were signing autographs, Ms. Fujita kept the atmosphere lively with her conversation, and before we knew it, it was time to go.

The event concluded in a friendly atmosphere with greetings from the authors who had enjoyed their first visit to Shikoku.
