A large-scale data breach, including approximately 1 million email addresses, may have occurred from SUUMO, CHINTAI, At Home, Homes, Ouchino, and Chintai EX.

It has been pointed out that personal information such as users' names, email addresses, phone numbers, family structures, and the properties they are interested in has been leaked from several Japanese real estate information websites, including SUUMO.

According to the independent media outlet Daily Dark Web, the six platforms where data leaks have been confirmed are '
The total amount of leaked data is 2.78GB, consisting of 2.4 million lines including 976,824 email addresses, and is said to contain the following information:
• Customer ID and registration date
・Name (in Japanese and Roman letters)
• Phone number and mobile phone number
·email address
• Personal information (age, gender, work history, income, family structure)
• Property information (type, budget, district, nearest station, floor area)
• Information on the property you are currently living in (rent, reason for moving)
• Property listing URL and management information
The leaked information is being sold for 1,000 euros (approximately 185,000 yen).
The real estate industry uses ' REINS ,' a property information sharing system exclusively for real estate companies, but it remains unclear where this information was leaked from.
Incidentally, SUUMO experienced an unauthorized access incident in July 2024, resulting in the leakage of internal information. However, it was reported that only 1,313 pieces of personal information belonging to current or former employees were leaked, and no customer information was compromised.
