OpenAI Acquires TBPN - YouTube
TBPN stands for 'Technology Business Programming Network,' and it distributes videos explaining technology-related news on platforms such as X , YouTube , and Apple Podcasts . TBPN broadcasts live on weekdays from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM Pacific Time. As of the time of writing, it has 321,000 X followers and 59,500 YouTube subscribers.

OpenAI explained that it acquired TBPN because it believes that 'developing artificial intelligence (AGI) comes with a responsibility to create a forum for constructive dialogue centered on developers and users about the changes that AI will bring.' Even after the acquisition by OpenAI, TBPN will retain the right to produce its own programs, select guests, and make editing decisions.
TBPN co-host Jordi Hayes commented, 'We have been closely watching not only OpenAI but the entire AI industry. While we have sometimes expressed critical opinions about the AI industry, as we have gotten to know Sam (OpenAI CEO Sam Altman) and the OpenAI team, we have been impressed by their open attitude towards feedback and their commitment to making the technology right.' The other co-host, John Coogan, has also announced that they will continue the weekday 11am live broadcast.

We want them to keep that going and for them to do what they do so well.
I don't expect them to go any easier on us, am sure I'll do my part to help enable that with occasional stupid decisions.
