The highlight of this announcement is the 'Ray-Ban Meta Optics Styles' line, designed for users who require vision correction, and it comes in two frame styles: 'Blayzer Optics' and 'Scriber Optics'.

The Blayzer Optics model features a rectangular design and is available in two sizes: standard and large.

Scriber Optics frames feature a more rounded shape.

All models feature a lightweight and slim design, and a major feature of their specifications is that they are compatible with almost all prescription lenses. To enhance comfort, they are equipped with ergonomic features such as hinges with a wide range of motion, adjustable temple tips to fit individual face shapes, and replaceable nose pads, and are designed to be worn comfortably all day long.

The color variations include matte black, transparent black, and transparent dark olive, as well as limited-edition transparent matte ice gray and transparent stone beige. Prices start at $499 (approximately 79,500 yen), with pre-orders starting in the US on March 31, 2026, and sales beginning on April 14. The product will come with a new dark brown carrying case with charging capabilities.

Existing Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) models have also received new color and lens combinations for the Spring/Summer 2026 season. Additionally, the Meta Ray-Ban Display, which displays information within the lens, has received a software update that introduces features such as Instagram Reels viewing, shortcuts for quick access to recently played songs and playlists on Spotify, and widgets that allow you to see reminders, weather, stock prices, and calendar information at a glance on your home screen.

On the input side, the Neural Handwriting feature allows users to reply to messages discreetly by tracing their finger across the surface, and it supports Instagram, WhatsApp, Messenger, and iMessage. Furthermore, a display recording function that allows users to record and share in-lens operation, view, and audio as a single video is planned for release in the spring of 2026.

Furthermore, Meta stated, 'With today's update, we are pleased to announce that we will be expanding the sales regions for Ray-Ban Meta and Oakley Meta sunglasses to new overseas markets including Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Chile, Colombia, and Peru by the end of 2026. In addition, to help our customers stay connected wherever they are, we will be expanding our live translation feature, which translates voices in real time, to support 20 languages, including Chinese, Korean, Japanese, and Arabic, in the summer of 2026,' making it clear that Ray-Ban Meta will also be available for purchase in Japan.
