Raspberry Pi announces further price increases, and a new version of the older model with increased RAM capacity is also being released.
On April 1, 2026, price increases for various Raspberry Pi models were announced. At the same time, a 3GB RAM version of the older Raspberry Pi 4 model was also announced.

The Raspberry Pi series had already seen price increases in December 2025 and February 2026 due to soaring memory prices. According to the official Raspberry Pi blog, the price of LPDDR4 DRAM used in the Raspberry Pi 4 and Raspberry Pi 5 has risen sevenfold since 2025. Due to the continuing surge in memory prices, a further price increase for the Raspberry Pi series was announced on April 1, 2026.
The models that will see price increases and the amounts of those increases are as follows. Models with higher memory capacity will see larger price increases, with the Raspberry Pi 5 and Compute Module 5 with 16GB of RAM seeing a significant price hike of $100 (approximately 15,958 yen), and the Raspberry Pi 500+ seeing a $150 (approximately 23,937 yen) increase.

To help users reduce costs, measures are being taken to expand the range of RAM capacity options, and a 3GB RAM version has been added to the older Raspberry Pi 4 model. The price is $83.75 (approximately 13,367 yen).
