A report on the stage greeting celebrating the box office success of 'That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: The Movie - Tears of the Azure Sea,' including what kind of 'White Day gift' did Koichi Domoto, the voice actor for Zodon, come up with?

The second theatrical film in the popular series was released on Friday, March 6, 2026, and was a huge hit, drawing 225,000 people in just three days and grossing over 300 million yen. To celebrate the film's massive success, 'That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime: Tears of the Azure Sea ' has attracted 430,000 people by its second weekend of release, a special screening with a stage greeting was held at Osaka Station City Cinema, with

Miho Okasaki , who plays the main character Rimuru Tempest , and Asuna Tomari , who plays Gobta , in attendance.

At the entrance of the theater where the screening with a stage greeting was held, we saw Zodon, the minister of the country of Cayenne, the setting of the film, and Yura, the priestess.

The event was emceed by

Yusuke Awaji from FM Osaka.

After being called up, Ms. Okazaki and Ms. Tomari took the stage.

This is how they made their entrance. Since they were in Osaka, Tomari seemed interested in takoyaki (octopus balls).

Okazaki-san visited Osaka multiple times for stage greetings during the promotion of the first theatrical film, 'Crimson Bonds Chapter.'

The stage greeting took place on White Day, March 14th. Okazaki had given her father Valentine's Day chocolates hoping for a return gift, and her father understood and gave her a return gift.

This time, a White Day surprise was prepared for the two of them and for the attendees. The venue went dark, and Okazaki and Tomari were surprised, saying, 'We really weren't told about this...'

Appearing on screen were

Tomoaki Maeno, who plays Veldora, and Koichi Domoto , who plays Zodon.

Since it was White Day, the question prepared was, 'If you were to give a gift in return as the character you're playing, what would you give?' Domoto couldn't help but laugh and retort, 'What kind of question is that?'

After considering this, he said, 'If it were Zodon...' and replied, 'I would take him as my wife in return.' Maeno agreed that it would be Zodon. Maeno, on the other hand, as Veldora, replied that he would give him his favorite sacred text (manga).

When Okazaki and Tomari received messages from the two, they reacted with a slightly hesitant 'Both are tough (laughs).' Apparently, they had actually had a casual conversation about 'what Zodon would give as a White Day gift,' and at that time, they predicted it would be something heartfelt and hard to refuse, such as a bouquet of flowers or a letter.

This film is packed with highlights, not only in its story and action. Ms. Okazaki and Ms. Tomari advised that if you have the opportunity to watch it more than once, you'll discover something new if you read the interview in the pamphlet beforehand, and they also recommended purchasing the merchandise.

The stage greeting, featuring witty and fast-paced banter similar to, or even more so than, that between Rimuru and Gobta in the film, ended all too quickly. Be sure to check out Rimuru and Gobta's exploits in theaters!
