Alibaba's OpenClaw-like AI agent 'CoPaw' is now open source, compatible with MCP and can use ClawHub skills.



CoPaw , a personal AI assistant developed by Alibaba's AI division, has been made open source. CoPaw can be installed on Windows, macOS, and Linux, and can run local AI models to perform various tasks. You can also customize it for yourself by adding skills published on ClawHub.

CoPaw, short for 'Co Personal Agent Workstation,' is a tool that allows you to perform various tasks such as chatting, picking up important emails, and analyzing files on your PC using your preferred local AI model. It also features a Heartbeat system that periodically runs the AI agent, and has similar features to OpenClaw overall. The documentation also includes a page comparing CoPaw and OpenClaw .

CoPawh is compatible with Windows, macOS, and Linux, and also offers an easy-to-use UI that runs in your browser.



Below is the model management screen of CoPaw. It is primarily designed to use local AI models, and you can run your favorite AI models via Ollama or llama.cpp. In addition, you can also run cloud AI models via the DashScope or ModelScope APIs.



CoPaw also supports MCP servers, allowing it to connect to external apps. It can also run skills registered on ClawHub. By freely combining AI models, MCP servers, and skills, you can create your own personalized AI assistant.
