Daisuke Ashihara's manga ' World Trigger, ' serialized in 'Weekly Shonen Jump' and 'Jump Square,' was adapted into a TV anime in 2014 and 2021. The anime's 'REBOOT Project' was announced on December 3, 2025, and it was revealed that the project will 'animate a completely new story, covering the first episode of the original manga, the Border enlistment arc, the Neighbors' large-scale invasion arc, and the start of the B-rank rank battle arc.' The story will be adapted from scratch, covering the entire first season of the TV anime, which aired in 2014.
