Microsoft 365 for businesses to implement biggest price hike since Copilot launch

It has been announced that new AI and security features will be added to

Microsoft 365 , a subscription service provided by Microsoft. In line with the addition of these new features, Microsoft 365 pricing for businesses will be revised starting July 1, 2026.

The current and revised prices are as follows: The price increase will be applied globally, with a maximum increase of $3 (approximately 460 yen).

At the same time, Microsoft announced several new features.

◆ AI chat for business use
The previously announced AI chat,

Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat , will now have the ability to understand your inbox and calendar, provide access to agent mode within chat and Office apps, and more.

◆Security
The email security feature of ' Microsoft Defender for Office 365 (Plan 1) ' will be added to Office 365 E3 and Microsoft 365 E3, enabling more organizations to detect and protect against phishing, malware, and malicious links in emails, Microsoft Teams, etc. Additionally, URL checking will be added to Office 365 E1, Business Basic, and Business Standard to protect against known malicious websites when users click on links in emails and Office apps.

◆Endpoint management
Microsoft is introducing additional endpoint management capabilities to Microsoft 365 E3 and Microsoft 365 E5, strengthening IT's ability to quickly resolve issues, proactively detect risks, and keep devices productive. These capabilities include Microsoft Intune Remote Help, Intune Advanced Analytics, and Intune Plan 2.4. Additionally, Microsoft 365 E5 offers Intune Endpoint Privilege Management, Enterprise Application Management, and Microsoft Cloud PKI, empowering IT teams to protect and secure their AI deployments by reducing risk, maintaining compliance, and delivering safer user experiences.

◆Security Agent
The Security Copilot agent will be integrated into the workflow of security teams using Microsoft Defender, Entra, Intune, and Microsoft Purview. Microsoft Security Copilot is available to all existing Microsoft 365 E5 customers immediately and will be gradually rolled out to all Microsoft 365 E5 customers over the coming months. Customers will be given 30 days' advance notice before activation.
