You can now purchase in-game items on Discord, starting with Marvel Rivals
A feature has been launched that allows players to purchase items for select games directly through the chat service Discord. First up will be items for the hero shooter

Marvel Rivals Shop FAQ – Discord
To add Marvel Rivals items, you must first join the official Marvel Rivals Discord server . When viewing this server in the desktop app, you'll apparently see a channel called 'Marvel Rivals Shop,' but we were unable to verify this in our environment. At the time of writing, the service is only available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, and Oceania.
Anyway, you can purchase skins, accessories, emotes, and more in the Marvel Rivals Shop. The items are the same as those in the in-game store, and you can preview them just like in the game by clicking on the details. To use purchased items in the game, you'll need to link your Discord and Marvel Rivals accounts.
At the time of writing, in-game items purchased through Discord are only supported on desktop platforms (Steam, Epic Games, Loading Bay), so refunds are possible for linked accounts on console platforms (Xbox, PlayStation). However, Marvel Rivals supports a cross-progression system that shares progress across different platforms, so by linking accounts through this system, you can use items purchased on consoles as well.
You can buy in-game items for others, or have others buy them for you using Discord's new Wishlist feature.
Discord's wishlist is a feature that allows you to save your favorite avatars, effects, and other items that can be purchased from the official Discord shop. The contents of your wishlist are published on your profile, and friends who see it can purchase items for you. If someone buys an item for you, you will receive a notification on Discord and the item will be removed from your wishlist.
