Netflix to discontinue casting from its app

Starting around November 2025, users began reporting that they were unable to cast from the mobile app to their streaming device.

Netflix then updated its support page to state, 'Netflix no longer supports casting shows from mobile devices to most TVs and TV streaming devices,' officially announcing that users would no longer be able to cast content from the Netflix app to streaming devices.
