The White House official website has published a list of media outlets that report false information, claiming that major media outlets are publishing fake news about President Trump.



The White House official website published a page titled ' Media Offenders ' on November 28, 2025 local time. The page lists the names of media outlets and reporters who are alleged to have reported false information about President Donald Trump's statements.

When Media Offenders was released, the White House posted a message on X that read, 'Tired of fake news? There's a place for you. Get the facts. Hunt the worst criminals. Expose fake news.'




When you visit Media Offenders, you will see the names of major media outlets such as The Boston Globe , CBS News , and The Independent listed as 'This Week's Crime Media.'



Additionally,

The Washington Post , CNN , and MSNBC have also been named as inductees into the Hall of Shame.



There are also individual pages listing the problems with each media outlet. Looking at

the individual page for CBS News , it states, 'The media reported that President Trump called for the 'execution' of lawmakers. However, this distorts the fact that President Trump called for the lawmakers who led the insurrection to be held accountable.' 'The Democrats and the fake news media implied that President Trump issued illegal orders to military personnel. All of President Trump's orders are legal. It is dangerous for sitting members of Congress to incite civil disobedience against the U.S. military, and President Trump called for them to be held accountable.'



The White House's claim stems from the following video, released on November 18, 2025. The video features Democratic lawmakers such as veteran Senator Mark Kelly and former CIA officer Senator Elissa Slotkin, who urge military and intelligence personnel to 'refuse illegal orders' and 'not be obligated to carry out orders that violate the law or the Constitution.'




In response to the above post, President Trump posted on Truth Social, 'This is incitement of the highest order. These traitors must be arrested and put on trial. Their rhetoric will not be tolerated. If this continues, our country will fall apart!!! We need to make an example of them.'



An hour later he posted, 'Treason deserves the death penalty!'



Based on this series of events, several media outlets, including CBS News and The Independent, reported that 'Democratic lawmakers who are veterans and former intelligence officers urged military personnel and intelligence officers to refuse illegal orders, and that President Trump said, 'Treason is punishable by death.'' The White House appears to have determined that these reports 'implied false information that President Trump issued illegal orders.'
