Block, known in the community as 'Trainwiz,' is credited with being the first person to replace a 'Skyrim' character with Thomas.
Brock has now released a mod that replaces the character in 'Morrowind' with Thomas. Morrowind is an old game, released in 2002, but Brock says, 'I made this mod years ago but never released it.'
The rights to 'Thomas the Tank Engine' are owned by Mattel, a major American toy manufacturer, and Block has reportedly been asked to remove his mod-related videos for copyright infringement. However, even modding is generally considered to fall under the category of 'fair use' as long as it is not for profit, so it is thought that there should be no copyright issues.
Brock has expressed anger towards Mattel, even going so far as to say, 'I guess Mattel wants me dead.' When he released his new mod, he wrote on the mod's distribution page , 'As I've lost my life in multiple accidents while working on my game, I sometimes feel the urge to see a joke through to the end. Even if I receive legal threats, a black van with a Mattel logo on it, or even if I receive a severed Barbie head in the mail, I will see it through to the end.' He also said, 'I don't believe that CEOs of toy companies or media companies are fundamentally human.'
There are two types of mods released this time. One simply replaces the character, and the other adds two Thomas characters when you defeat him. The characters in question are weak enemies that appear frequently, so you'll encounter Thomas frequently as you walk around the field.
