Yoshinoya Noodle Menu 2nd Edition! 'Beef Ball Ramen Hot Pot Set (Tonkotsu)' | Yoshinoya Official Website

I came to Yoshinoya.

I immediately ordered the Tonkotsu Beef Ramen Nabezen, which cost 987 yen including tax.

The tonkotsu beef ball ramen hot pot set has arrived.

This is what the pot looks like inside. The aroma is typical of tonkotsu. The ingredients are beef, onion, Chinese cabbage, green onion, and menma.

The noodles are served on a separate plate.

Extra garlic sauce served separately.

It came with a raw egg and rice. It's a little hard to see in the photo, but it also came with pickles.

Yoshinoya suggests two ways of eating the noodles: 'Tsukemen-style,' where the noodles are dipped in the pot, and 'Nikomi Ramen,' where the noodles are simmered in the pot. First, I tried lifting the noodles and dipping them in the soup. The tonkotsu soy sauce soup is quite strong, and the rich flavor complements the chewy texture of the noodles. The slightly salty flavor subtly brings out the gentle sweetness of the Chinese cabbage and green onions.

I tried just the tonkotsu soy sauce soup. The spiciness and umami of the soy sauce were clearly noticeable, giving it a slightly junky flavor that would go perfectly with rice on its own.

The meat is the same as the one used in Yoshinoya's beef bowl. The tonkotsu soy sauce soup is quite strong, so it masks the flavor of the beef, and I couldn't really tell if it was seasoned as usual.

It has a strong flavor, so it goes well with eggs. It also goes well with rice, but I think some people might find it enough to drink with alcohol on its own.

If you simmer the noodles for a long time, the flavor will penetrate the noodles and the texture will become softer, which will make a big difference in the taste.

At this point, we add the extra garlic sauce. The garlic smell is quite strong, so we don't recommend this if you're meeting someone.

The garlic-rich sauce adds a strong garlic flavor, giving the dish a punchier taste.

To finish off the meal, you can add a raw egg and rice to make a porridge. The beef and egg ramen hotpot set comes with noodles and rice, so it's quite filling, and the rich soup makes it a satisfying meal.

The Beef Ball Ramen Nabezen (Tonkotsu) will be available from 11:00 on Thursday, November 27, 2025. The price is 987 yen (tax included) in-store and 969 yen (tax included) for takeout.
